Marsala wine is sometimes used in French cooking and often in Italian cooking. It’s a deep shade of amber in color and has a very complex aroma. It’s also rather high in alcohol content for wine, at 16%-20%.
The wines are classified according to their age, ranging from those aged less than one year to some that are aged at least ten years. This recipe also works well with chicken when veal is not desired. Veal marsala or chicken marsala can both make for an excellent dinner.
This dinner is perfect to make for your family, but it can also serve as a great date night dinner. Pack the kids up, ship them off to their grandparents' house, and enjoy a night to yourself and your partner. You may want to cut down the recipe if you're only cooking for two.
Whether you make this recipe for your whole family or just for two, it's sure to become a favorite of yours. You'll want to make this at any opportunity, whether you choose to use chicken or veal. Make sure to leave a bookmark on this page!
