Turkey Chili
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey
½ pound ground beef
30 oz. tomato sauce
24 oz. tomato-vegetable juice
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1 small jalapeno pepper chopped (optional)
14 oz. stewed tomatoes
½ cup uncooked wild rice
⅔ cup brown sugar
14 oz. chili beans
1 oz. chili seasoning mix
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey and ground beef. Drain well.
2. Place all other ingredients in a slow cooker and add the meat.
3. Cook on low for 6 to 9 hours. Serve with crackers or cornbread.
