These 13 Ice Cream Brands Have Been Recalled

Nothing is more refreshing on a hot summer day than an ice-cold treat. However, you can't always count on Mister Softee to be there when you crave a soft-serve or an ice-cream sandwich. That's when the market comes in handy to stock up on your favorite frozen treats. Unfortunately, grabbing a tasty snack from the freezer isn't as safe as it once was, with many ice cream brands being recalled.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a list of 13 ice cream brands that have been recalled for their potential to infect consumers with listeria, a bacterial infection with potentially deadly consequences. While no illnesses have yet to be reported, the FDA recommends you toss all items mentioned and request a refund from where you purchased.
