Buy a Home for $123,100 in This Craft Brewery Town

Craft breweries tend to flourish in economically vibrant areas where disposable income, dynamic regulation, and strong community ties help small businesses develop and thrive. Many of the same conditions also enable affordable real estate, creating a wide array of towns where low-cost homes sit just a short amble away from an independent craft brewery. If living near a brewery stimulates your palate, enjoy this small flight of craft beer towns where you can afford a home.

To determine the most affordable craft brewery towns, Moms Who Think reviewed five-year data on median household value and median household income from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2022 American Community Survey. Cities, towns, and villages were ranked based on the ratio of median home value to median household income. Only places with at least 1,000 residents with at least four breweries were considered. Data on breweries is from the 2022 County Business Patterns and was aggregated from zip codes to counties using boundary definitions from the Census Bureau.
