Whether you've never tried goulash before or it's one of your favorite meals, this dinner is sure to delight. We'll be prepping some of the ingredients in a skillet before putting them in a crock pot. The crock pot will handle the bulk of the cooking, taking some of the weight off of your shoulders.
Unlike many crock pot recipes, this goulash won't need to cook for a long period of time. It will need to spend three and a half hours in the crock pot before it is done. It's a great recipe to start as soon as the kids get home from school, to ensure dinner will be ready on time.
After the goulash is finished, you'll cover it with plenty of cheddar cheese. Aim to use reduced-fat cheddar cheese if you can, as this will cut down on the calories and fat in this dish without compromising flavor. Lean ground beef will also help make this a meal that won't obliterate your diet.
