What About Spring Cleaning?
Spring cleaning is a way to usher in warmer weather and open windows. There are certain parts of your home that only need to be cleaned once or twice a year. Shampoo your rugs, clean your walls, polish your furniture, and clean out your desk drawers when it's time to spring clean. These are chores that don't need to be done regularly, but should be done a couple of times a year.
Spring cleaning can feel overwhelming, but making a checklist for yourself like the ones we gave you above will help. Book out a weekend to get all of your cleaning done, and get the rest of the family to help out. Even young children can help by doing basic chores. Have them go through their toys and pick some that they don't play with anymore to donate, or have them help you strip their beds so you can clean their mattress.
Older kids can handle wiping walls, washing windows, and tidying the garage. Leave cleaning the fragile stuff to the adults. Put some music on to lift the mood, and get cleaning!
