It uses ingredients you likely already have in your pantry, and even uses canned peaches to make your life really easy! No peeling, pitting, or chopping is required, just open the can and start baking!
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups (29-ounce can) canned peaches, light-syrup pack, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 teaspoons whole milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 8×8 inch pan.
2. Spread peaches in a baking pan. Mix remaining ingredients, except brown sugar and milk, together in a mixing bowl; spread over top of peaches.
3. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean, about 30 to 35 minutes.
4. For the topping, combine brown sugar and milk in a small bowl. Drizzle mixture on top of cake; return the cake to oven, and bake for 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Cut into 8 pieces
