There is no better time of the year to be thinking about all your blessings! We naturally evaluate and reflect on our year and the trials and triumphs we've experienced. It is so fun to reflect on the way the Lord's hands have brought blessings and worked miracles in our lives. As a family we have often made a little gratitude tree but this year I thought it would be neat to watch if our gratitude chain grew throughout the whole month. I hung string throughout the living room. Together we came up with several things we were grateful for and listed them on the Christmas bulb papers that I had previously printed and cut out. The first night we filled out 3 dozen bulbs and taped them individually to the string. Then I left a small basket with dozens more light bulbs on the nearest desk. The family continues to add to the chain as they think of things that they grateful for throughout the month, eventually filling up the string and decorating the home at the same time. They are decorations with meaning that grow all season long.
My son who is still learning to write words drew a picture of himself with his dad instead.

Another way to display could be to make a paper Christmas tree and hang the paper ornaments labeled with blessings on it. There are also some red and blue paper chain strips that you can link together and display your blessings that way.
