Cabbage Casserole with Rice
There are several casseroles that can be made using cabbage as the main ingredient. Many also feature rice and ground beef to help make the meal hearty. Here are some we recommend:
Yummy Stuffed Cabbage: Stuffed cabbage is a well-known dish. Make it with an Italian spin by including tomatoes, tomato sauce, ground beef, and oregano in the filling.
Cheesy Deconstructed Stuffed Cabbage: This dish includes smoky ground beef, tender cabbage, garlic, and paprika with a tomato sauce and cheese blend topping. Not so much a stuffed cabbage dish, it more closely resembles a pasta bake; but it is yummy none the less. The addition of brown rice helps make it a hearty meal.

Have Your Kids Help With This Recipe
Letting your kids cook with you in the kitchen can seem like a daunting task. Your mind may fill with images of rushing someone to the emergency room because they cut or burned themselves. Or, you may imagine something spilling all over the floor because of careless hands.
Fear not. While accidents can always happen, with a little care and precaution they can go from a common occurrence to a rare one. The main thing to keep in mind is that your kids should only be allowed to do what they're capable of doing at their age. It's great if they want to challenge themselves, but undertaking something too difficult can raise the risk for an accident.
Even very young children can still help. Mom or dad can help them pour ingredients together, or set the timer for the casserole. Older children can take on more complex tasks, but of course should still be supervised throughout the whole process.
Kids will appreciate their dinner more if they played a part in making it. Make some great memories together by making this delicious casserole recipe. Your kids will appreciate being included, and you'll appreciate having some of the heavy lifting off of your shoulders!
