Today, I am sharing an easy and delicious appetizer! These Buffalo Blue Cheese Wontons are amazing! In fact, I had planned to take a nice picture with one of the wontons half-eaten so you could see the creamy, cheesey center. But after I took that first bite, there was no turning back. It was a scene from Animal Planet: “beast devours innocent prey in one whole bite!” But seriously, these are THAT good!
I made these bad boys in about 20 minutes. After I mixed up the filling, I enlisted my oldest son to help wrap the wontons.
It was an easy process, and a handy kitchen skill for him to learn. I hope you enjoy these and don't forget to come visit me at Becky's Recipes!
Buffalo Blue Cheese Wontons
- 12 square Wonton wrappers
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
- 2 Tbsp. Buffalo sauce
- 1-2 green onion, chopped
- Oil for frying
Mix cream cheese, blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and green onion in small mixing bowl. Drop spoonfuls into wonton wrappers. Seal edges of wontons with water (instructions are usually on the package). Heat oil in deep frying pan on medium heat. When hot enough, fry wontons until golden brown on each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve with blue cheese dressing and more buffalo sauce, if desired. Enjoy!
