Basil Beef Recipe

Even though this recipe takes nearly an hour to cook, you won’t have to spend that much time in the kitchen. Once you get the beef in the oven, you can just set it and mostly forget it. Luckily, that can give you time to throw together a couple of quick sides.

You can put potatoes and carrots in with the beef sirloin if you want the sides to cook at the same time. The possible downside is that then the potatoes and carrots have the same flavor as the basil and beef.

Mashed potatoes and cooked carrots or corn make excellent side dishes for beef. The juices from the beef as it’s cooking make an excellent base for gravy as well.

This is the kind of meal that your whole family will love. It’s even a great meal to serve to company. Everybody loves meat and potatoes and this basil beef recipe will be one that gets you compliments as the chef.

Beef and Basil In the Slow Cooker

Something else you can do with this recipe to make it even easier is to cook it in your crockpot. Slow cookers are designed to cook a cut of meat over a long period and are especially well suited to cooking meals like this.

To make this meal in a slow cooker, add a couple of cups of water or even red wine and cook it on low for 7 to 8 hours. Or you can cook it on high for up to 4 hours. The meat will be tender and falling apart by the time it’s done. When you walk in the house after a long day, the smell of beef cooking will fill your house. It’s hard not to look forward to dinner when this is waiting for you!

This beef and basil recipe makes a perfectly seasoned cut of meat. But one of the best things about it is that tends to make lots of leftovers. You can use the leftovers in a variety of delicious meals.

This basil beef recipe has all the great taste of a traditional pot roast. But the way that it’s different is that it starts with a better cut of meat. Most pot roasts are made with a tougher cut of meat, which becomes more tender over a long cooking period.

Because this starts with delicious sirloin, you don’t have to worry about any toughness. The steak starts out tender and only becomes more so over the long cook time. This is one meal that’s easy to cook and tastes great. Why go to a fast-food restaurant for dinner when you can have a delicious meal like this at home instead?
