Seven-Layer Magic Bar Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
  • 1 cup (6 ounces) butterscotch-flavored chips
  • 1 cup (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 325 degrees Fahrenheit for a glass baking pan).

2. Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with a sheet of aluminum foil, and coat the foil lightly with no-stick cooking spray. Alternatively, you can opt for parchment paper without any cooking spray.

3. In a small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Once thoroughly mixed, press the crumb mixture firmly on the bottom of the prepared 13×9-inch baking pan.

4. Layer the butterscotch chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts evenly over the crust.

5. Pour condensed milk evenly over the top of everything.

6. Bake for 25 minutes in preheated oven or until lightly browned. Once fully baked, allow the cookies to cool in the pan.

7. Lift up the edges of the foil or parchment paper to remove from the pan.

8. Cut into individual squares and serve.
