Description
This recipe for baked rice seems a bit unusual but that’s only because you haven’t tried it yet. The advantage of this rice is that not only does it all cook on its own, but it also forms a crust that gives it a delicious crunch.

- ¾ cup raw white rice, washed
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 Tablespoons minced onion
- 2 cups boiling water
Instructions
- In a greased 1 ½ quart casserole, combine all the ingredients.
- Cover, bake in a moderate oven of 350 degree F, for 30 minutes.
