Anything that calls itself “All-American” has to be good. The term is usually used to describe something or someone that exemplifies important qualities in American tradition and culture. These fries are exactly what you'll want to serve at a 4th of July picnic or any other event celebrating freedom and the United States. They're made from scratch, so you know you're getting the best.
True All-American fries can't be frozen! If you've never made your own fries before, it isn't terribly hard. Of course, it's more time-consuming than just making frozen fries, but the end result is well worth the effort. Make sure to take your time cutting the potatoes so there aren't any accidents!
If you don't want to run your oven, you can make these fries in an air fryer instead. Using an air fryer will cut down on the cook time; different air fryers may require different cook times, so be sure to use the recommended time for the air fryer you own.
Serve these fries with a good burger and hot dog for a true All-American dinner. Nothing says “United States” quite like some fries, burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream for dessert. Everyone who tries these fries will be delightfully surprised at just how good they are. You'll want to return to this recipe again and again.
