Teriyaki Beef and Noodles

Try This Fantastic Teriyaki Beef and Noodles Recipe

Teriyaki is a great flavor that often goes overlooked in household kitchens. Teriyaki sauce is sadly passed over for more popular sauces, and that's quite a shame. Teriyaki has so much to offer. Its place in this recipe certainly makes the whole dish pop.

We use ramen noodles in this recipe, both to fit with the teriyaki sauce and to cut down cost for you. Ramen noodles are easy to come by; in fact, you might even have some in your pantry right now. We don't make use of the seasoning packet in this recipe, so it does not matter what flavor ramen you use.

Of course, you can always save the seasoning packet for another use. When it comes to budgeting, making good use of everything you buy is important. Use the seasoning packet on a different dish of noodles, or get creative and try it with something that doesn't even include pasta!

If you need something to serve with this dish, a simple salad or dinner rolls will suffice. Some cooks overthink their sides, and produce meals that are unnecessarily complicated for just an ordinary family dinner. Keep it easy on yourself!

Teriyaki Beef and Noodles

Ingredients:

1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles (any flavor)
12 ounces lean ground beef
½ cup chopped onion (medium size)
2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
¼ cup teriyaki sauce
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
¼ cup sliced green onions
1 cup snow peas, trimmed and cut in half diagonally
1 Tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

Directions:

1. Break ramen noodle block into four pieces, discard seasoning packet. Set noodles aside.

2. In a 3 quart saucepan cook and stir ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain fat.

3. Stir in broth, teriyaki sauce, and carrots. Bring to boiling.

4. Add noodles and green onions. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to separate noodles.

5. Add snow peas and cilantro; cook and stir for 2 minutes longer or until peas are crisp-tender.

6. Ladle into bowls. Makes 4 servings.
