Making Italian sausage in the crock pot is easy with a great recipe like this one. Many cooks turn to the grill for cooking their Italian sausage, but that isn't an option for most of the year in many places. When the weather outside is too cold for the grill, use your crock pot instead.
The addition of peppers and onions provides even more flavor and texture to this recipe. In terms of simplicity, it doesn't get better than this. All you need to do is combine the ingredients together in the crock pot and cook. This recipe will need to cook for eight hours on low.
Once it's done, we recommend either serving it over pasta or on hoagie rolls. The former choice is a good one if you have the time and energy to make pasta. The latter is an ideal option if you want to keep dinner as simple as possible.
